Hey there!

Thank you for visiting my blog!

I have been playing with the idea of blogging for some years now; with the encouragement from good people after making countless excuses, I decided to – Do it Afraid!

This is my personal Foodie Blog inspired by my love for cooking. I will tell you a little bit about myself.

I am Linda Keme; wife and mother to our beautiful girl, Olivia!

I might have discovered my love for cooking in my first year of high school. Haha! My first cook-out was a pot of beans, cooked unsupervised at home while on school break. My immediate family is small; however, my parents accommodated a lot of our extended family. I remember going around to family members, saying “Hey! I cooked this; do you like it?’’

I went to a boarding high school and we were not allowed to cook, then onto a Nigerian university far away from home where cooking was a mammoth task and a massive chore. Somehow after a hectic class schedule, I would still find joy in going to the village market to gather fresh ingredients which I now appreciate as truly organic.

Instead of feeling tired after all that hassle of cooking and cleaning, it would be the direct opposite. I would come alive with excitement and would be so eager to entertain any friend interested in eating, out of excitement.

I cooked with pride and passion!

After university, I sought out a cooking school to while away but my parents couldn’t see why a BSc & MSc holder would consider cooking over finding a proper job.

Aim higher maifrend! Tuition ain’t cheap!

Years have passed and time has become more precious since motherhood. I eventually got to the point where I wondered why I haven’t turned my passion to profit. The truth is, I just lost my passion for cooking.

I marvel at the creative content that is put out by those hardworking food bloggers and recipe developers and how they even monetize their hobbies is beyond inspiring.

While this is where I aspire to be in future, I have decided to take all that pressure off; begin with finding my niche, and my love for cooking again. So for now and always, I’m letting love lead the way!

My intention for my blog is to rediscover my pure love for cooking.

I hope you enjoy this journey with me. Happy reading!
